ARSONISTS HIT VILLA

DOUBTS remain as to whether Pelsall Villa will be able to start their new West Midlands League Division One season after arsonists targeted their Walsall Road ground.
Fires destroyed the club’s committee room and newly-refurbished toilet block last Sunday morning, causing several thousand of pounds worth of damage and casting doubts over the future of the 119-year old club.
A large consignment of new seats donated to the club by Stoke City was also destroyed. A groundshare is being considered.
