SOUTHERN LEAGUE new boys Moneyfields won the local bragging rights with a single-goal victory over National League South Havant & Waterlooville. The first half saw the Hawks in the ascendency. On 20 minutes Jason Prior set up Theo Lewis to fire a 20-yard drive just wide.
Then keeper Steve Mowthorpe produced a tremendous double save from a Prior header and a Matt Tubbs flick. He crowned a superb first half with a brilliant full-length save to keep out Rory Williams’ free-kick.
