Essex Senior League Clapton not only held their Bostik League Premier Division rivals Needham Market at bay, they gave them more than a couple of frights.
Five minutes before halftime Jerry Jairette found himself space for a shot. Unfortunately for the Tons, he didn’t keep the ball down.
In the 65th minute though, as he has done countless times, Gareth Heath timed his run perfectly from midfield and edged the visitors in front.
