RANGERS were put to the sword and had little response in this affair that failed to live up to expectations.
The match started brightly enough with Jack Sherratt for Stafford and Witton’s James Foley having chances.
As the sides felt each other out, Albion’s Steven Tames collected a long through-ball and advanced into the box where he beat Adam Whitehouse on his near post.
With possession even but Albion more dangerous, the game did not settle.
On 35 minutes, the dangerous Foley had a free-kick cleared only for a header to come back...
