■BOTH sides had to settle for a point in an entertaining topsy-turvy game.
The visitors drew first blood with a neat flicked header from Billy Hopcroft but Yate were level ten minutes later when Brad Abraham followed up to drive the ball home to score.
A long distance rising drive from Ben Brooks gave Yate a 2-1 interval lead.
But Barnstaple hit back to turn the game upside down with two goals inside the first 15 minutes of the second half.
