AFC Sudbury claimed victory in this encounter that sent Romford to the foot of the Bostik North Division despite the Essex side controlling much of the game.
Sudbury started brightly and took the lead after just two minutes when a long ball forward broke to Jamie Eaton-Collins who sent a sweet chip over Steve Reynolds.
Romford were level on the hour when Greg Akpele found himself free on the edge of the box, his shot deflecting into the net via a home defender.
