CITY OF Liverpool came out on top in a fiery encounter, narrowly beating Ryhope CW to move into the third round. The Purps took the lead in the 43rd minute when David Gordon was caught in possession by Karl Noon who squared to Joe Camozzi to score. Noon doubled the lead six minutes into the second half when he found space just outside the box to slam home a left-footed half-volley.
