HIGH-FLYING Shaw Lane had to settle for a point after Halesowen put in a solid performance. The visitors applied plenty of early pressure.
Yeltz keeper Dan Platt marked his 100th appearance for the club by tipping Alexander Byrne’s second minute free-kick over the bar. And he denied Lee Bennett with a superb double save on 11 minutes. But Halesowen weathered the storm and went close when the lively Daniel Udoh forced a good save from Shaw Lane keeper Jonathon Stewart on 18 minutes.
