ROCK-BOTTOM North West Counties League side Burscough were sunk by an injury time goal on Tyneside.
The Linnets, without a league win, looked to have taken this FA Vase tie into extra-time until Liam Thear’s late clincher.
Burscough led at the halfway stage through Terry Cummings’ 16th minute strike, Michael Hall levelling three minutes into the second half.
Dunston started brightly, Callum Elliott going close, but it was struggling Burscough who drew first blood.
