LEAGUE leaders Basford took their unbeaten run to 15 games with a win over Spalding.
They were gifted a seventh minute lead when Spalding’s Adam Jackson volleyed into his own net. Saul Deeney saved from Lee Beeson’s shot three minutes from the break in Spalding’s best attack. Basford upped the pace in the second half and James Reid’s shot was cleared off the Spalding line by Jordan Lemon on 47 minutes. They got a deserved second goal after 69 minutes when Matt Thornhill netted after a well-timed run through the middle. ...
