■CHIPSTEAD earned a creditable point for their second-half efforts in the rain at the High Road. They defended solidly in the first period but the visitors did take the lead on 38 minutes when Matt Lovell tapped in from close range. Chips applied pressure after half-time, trying to force an equaliser, but it took until the very last minute to come about – the home skipper Matty Males was adjudged to have been held back in the visitors’ box, the referee pointed to the spot, and substitute Chris O’Flaherty drove home the penalty.
