ROSS’ SWIFT EXIT

JUST 17 days after being named as manager of Northern Counties East League Premier Division outfit Parkgate, Ross Shelton has quit the job. He resigned after last
Saturday’s 6-0 home defeat to Thackley extended their losing run to eight matches, leaving them in the relegation zone.
Shelton, who had previously been caretaker manager, threw in the towel after a meeting with chairman Albert Dudill immediately after the game.
The club moved swiftly to replace Shelton with former Clipstone and Staveley Miners Welfare boss Billy Fox, who will be assisted by former Parkgate defender Richard ...
