BARNSTAPLE eased their relegation fears as they were forced to dig deep to earn a crucial point at home to a determined and tricky Wimborne Town in what turned out to be a testing and tight affair.
In an evenly contested game both sides had chances but cancelled themselves out until the 44th minute when a through ball were reduced to ten men after Steve Noakes was penalised for bringing down Tom Lorraine.
Diamonds flooded forward and got the vital first goal on 72 minutes as Ryan Robbins gleefully fired home.
