STAINES maintained their play-off push thanks to Elliott Buchanan’s 17th goal of the season six minutes from time.
The Swans have now won their last four Bostik League matches, losing just twice in 12 games, which has seen them climb up to third.
Buchanan was the hero again, having struck twice in mid-week to see-off Harrow, and he had his first sight of goal in the opening exchanges.
Staines were soon in front when Wadah Ahmidi’s outstretched leg turned the ball home from Buchanan’s cross in the 14th minute.
