RYAN Auger was Bedford Town’s hero as his goal proved the difference at home to Hanwell Town.
Following an eventful yet goalless first half, in which a goal was ruled out for offside, the game sprung into life in the second half.
Auger put his side ahead with a stunning free-kick from 20 yards out, his effort clipping the post before finding the back of the net.
Try as they might, neither side could find another goal but Bedford were able to hold on to clinch the three points.
