LEWES bounced back from two defeats to stay top of Bostik League South as Billy Medlock’s late winner downed Sittingbourne.
Substitute Billy Medlock, who had only been on for a few minutes, struck in the 88th minute, his fine solo effort coming off the back of a Lewes break.
Prior to this, Lewes went closest to breaking the deadlock when Jonte Smith hit the bar. Miles Cornwell had Sittingbourne’s best chance when his powerful shot was tipped over the bar by Chris Winterton.
