TABLE-TOPPERS AFC Hornchurch were held to a 1-1 draw by Barking.
The leaders came under first-half pressure, keeper Sam Mott saving from Martin Tuohy and then Billy Jones.
But when George Purcell was brought down by Hussain Jaffa and a spot-kick awarded, the fouled striker took the opportunity to give them an interval lead.
The visitors – on a run of five wins in six –went in search of a second, Bradley Warner firing over the bar when Purcell put him through.
