BANBURY ran out deserved winners in a hugely competitive fixture.
Hitchin started on the front foot, hitting two shots over the Banbury bar, and Trey Charles came close after seven minutes when a cross-cum-shot hit the Banbury crossbar.
Banbury had their first chance after 22 minutes when Elliot Sandy’s shot went over. Banbury then came close when Tom Winter’s shot hit the crossbar on 26 minutes.
