MARK STIMSON nearly had a 50th birthday present to remember – the Thurrock boss might have had to put his boots on again!
Stimson hit the half-century on December 27 but with his squad down to its bare bones against Harlow on New Year’s Day he was forced to name himself on the bench.
Luckily the former Grays Athletic and Stevenage boss didn’t have to call himself into action which was a good thing in the circumstances because he was physio for the day too!
