THE scoreline at the Future - Fuel Stadium flattered the hosts who weathered an Oxford comeback after scoring two early goals and then added two late in the day.
East Thurrock were much the better in the early stages and got the goal they deserved. Neat passing led to Calvin Ekpiteta tapping home from close range after 13 minutes after Lewis Smith’s shot was parried, then he grabbed a second, scrambling the ball home four minutes later.
From then on Oxford took a grip on the game and dominated possession, but they were unable to get a goal ...
