JACK MIDSON’S gave Leatherhead a dramatic win, with an 88th-minute penaltykick – five minutes after Brightlingsea appeared to have salvaged a point.
Midson had given the Tanners a 20th-minute lead with a controlled finish.
But seven minutes from time, an unmarked Sam Ashford slotted home the equalizer.
However, Midson won the game, putting away the penalty after recovering from a twofooted Matt Cripps tackle which earned the appropriately- named defender a red card.
