ST NEOTS overhauled their tally of league points from last season with this narrow victory over Tiverton.
The margin of victory could and should have been greater but two disallowed goals gave the visitors a slim hope.
However, St Neots keeper Finlay Iron did not have a direct shot to save throughout the match, so the victory was deserved.
The only goal of the game came after 26 minutes when Tom Wood, recalled to the defence in the place of the suspended Liam McDevitt, met a perfectly delivered Johnny Herd corner at the far post.
