■ GEORGE Nicholas’ header rescued a point for ten-man Potters Bar Town. Canvey opened the scoring on 21 minutes when a corner was headed back across and acrobatically volleyed home by James Walker.
The hosts were reduced to ten men on 31 minutes when Billy Adcock was shown a straight red card after a nasty challenge.
But Potters Bar equalised when Eoin Casey’s cross from the leftwas met with a powerful header by Nicholas.
Canvey thought they had regained the lead, only for Sam Collins’ 30-yard strike to be ruled out for offside.
