ANDY BALLARD admits even he is surprised at the success of his throwntogether Didcot Town side.
Budget cuts last summer forced the rookie boss to build a whole new squad from scratch, made up solely of young, hungry talent from the local area.
And the results have surpassed even his expectations with the Railwaymen steamrollering towards a play-off place in EVO-STIK South West, while also clinching a place in tomorrow night’s (Monday) Southern League Cup final for the first time in their history.
