PROMOTION-CHASING South Shields boosted their goal difference with a healthy victory over Ramsbottom United.
The hosts were 2-0 up at the break after a Luke Thompson own goal on 12 minutes and then quick reactions from Louis Storey on 23 minutes to pounce on the rebound after Jon Shaw’s header hit the bar.
The visitors attempted to hit back after the break but Carl Finnigan added a third just short of the hour mark, cutting in from the left before finding the bottom corner.
