17-0! WE’VE HAD ENOUGH

ABINGDON Town’s players were so disgusted by their own performance in their 17-0 defeat at arch rivals Abingdon United Development that they walked off the pitch before the final whistle!
Already down to 10 men through Aaron Andrews being sent off, two more players then walked off after the 11th and 13th goals went in.
They lost another two players through injury and had only seven players left on the pitch in Tuesday’s Hellenic League Division Two East game. United secretary John Blackmore said: “People were just standing there in disbelief.”
