SLOUGH enhanced their promotion credentials with their fourth win in nine days while a much-changed Stratford side slumped to their fifth successive home defeat.
Perry Coles’ 35th-minute goal decided a closely fought game which seldom reached any great levels of excitement.
Stratford were first to threaten with Justin Marsden hitting a low drive from 25 yards straight at Slough keeper Jack Turner.
The game then developed into a midfield stalemate until the Rebels had their first attempt when James Dobson’s shot was deflected behind.
