ALL BETS ARE NOW OFF AFTER ‘PIE GATE’

THE Gambling Commission say the betting firm behind Sutton United goalkeeper Wayne Shaw’s ‘pie-gate’ FA Cup controversy may lose their licence.
Tabcorp, owners of Sun Bets, were fined £84,000 by the commission after offering odds of 8/1 that substitute keeper Shaw would finish a pie during last season’s televised fifthround tie with Arsenal.
Shaw, nicknamed the ‘roly-poly goalkeeper’, resigned from the National League club after carrying out the controversial stunt which overshadowed the U’s cup heroics. He was later fined £375 by the Fo...
