A year of ‘friendlies’ have killed my club

A FARNBOROUGH fan for over 25 years, my love affair with the club officially came to an end this week when they crashed to yet another heavy home defeat, this time, the grateful recipients being Bishop’s Stortford.
Owing to the Step 3/4 re-shuffle at the at of the season, manager Spencer Day has openly admitted that as soon as it became apparent that the club weren’t going up or going down from the Evo-Stik Southern Premier this season, then he would play an “extended pre-season”.
