CASUALS were left to rue missed first-half chances as they finished the match beaten by an organised Herne Bay team.
The home side started well with Josh Uzun and Max Oldham testing keeper Ben Hunter, with Uzun later hitting the post twice and Harry Ottaway doing the same from Oldham’s cross.
On 50 minutes, Tom Carlton’s free-kick to the far post found substitute Connor Wilkins who headed home to put Herne ahead, with Sam McCallum smashing home his effort eight minutes late to double the lead.
