■LIAM Tomsett scored a priceless goal two minutes from time to earn Ashton United the runners-up spot in the final table.
He got on the end of a lovely curling freekick from Sam Sheridan to steer past home keeper Aaran Taylor.
Weary Workington were playing their third game in four days to round off a traumatic final week of the season after trips to Stalybridge Celtic and Coalville Town 24 hours apart resulting in a 3-1 win and 3-0 defeat respectively.
