MINERS SHOW PLENTY OF BARK

MALTBY Main may have set a new world record – and believe it’s all Rover.
The Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier outfit last Saturday claimed a new world record for the number of canine attendees at a football match. What was believed to be the previous record was 32, set by Hallmark Security North West Counties Premier side West Didsbury & Chorlton last October.
But at last Saturday’s game against Pontefract Colliery at Muglet Lane, the official attendance was 78 pooches, with 177 human spectators.
