CUP FINAL AXED AT 11TH HOUR

THE Hellenic League cancelled their Supplementary Cup final with just five days’ notice.
Burnham and Flackwell Heath were due to meet in the final at Ardley United’s ground yesterday.
But on Tuesday morning, the league issued a statement saying that the game had been postponed due to “player registration irregularities”.
The statement said that “certain irregularities” had been brought to the notice of the management executive within the previous 24 hours, and an investigation had been launched.
