Bitter taste of Gulls’ dual duo

AM I the only one left with a bitter taste in my mouth at the crafty handiwork of Canvey Island this week?
Having signed on a dual registration basis at the end of March, the Gulls could call upon East Thurrock United pair Sam Higgins and James White for their Bostik North play-off campaign.
And of course, you’ve guessed it, Higgins, the scorer of 25 league goals in National League South this season, was on target again as Canvey Island turned the tables on Bowers & Pitsea away from home in Wednesday’s semi-final.
