I HAVE to say I am left a little bit disappointed with an imbalance with the promotion issues at Step 3 of the pyramid.
In some respects it is a throwback to days when only one team was promoted from the three Premier divisions to the Conference with no play-offs.
Having a championship decider for promotion is bizarre. Both teams who finish top should and deservedly take the promotion spots in the league. Play-offs should then decide the other remanning promotion spot.
I hope common sense can prevail – two-up from both leagues must remain.
