BLYTH SPARTANS manager Alun Armstrong has confirmed that he spoke to north-east neighbours Darlington and Hartlepool United about their managerial vacancies last season.
The former Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town striker has caught the eye of a number of clubs after impressing in his first managerial role at Croft Park.
