RE-TURNER TO ALSAGER

FORMER Tottenham Hotspur and Republic of Ireland international Andy Turner has returned for a second spell in charge of North West Counties League Division One outfit Alsager Town.
Turner, who also played for Portsmouth, Yeovil Town and Crystal Palace, has been given the job of leading the club back to the Premier Division after two seasons at Step 6.
He replaces Wayne Brotherton, who quit on Tuesday after two seasons in charge, citing work and family commitments.
Turner spent six years as part of the management team at Chasetown before taking over at Alsager for the first time in 2012.
