EVATT IS HANDED REINS AT BARROW

BARROW have appointed Ian Evatt as their new manager for the forthcoming National League season.
The former Blackpool centre-back, 36, took charge of Chesterfield on a caretaker basis for three games last season as the Spireites dropped out of the Football League.
Evatt has had a distinguished playing career in which he made over 500 appearances, representing the likes of QPR, Northampton and Derby.
