TALBOT IN SPIREITES U-TURN

NATIONAL League side Chesterfield have confirmed that Drew Talbot will play for them next season after all.
The 31-year-old, who rejoined the Spireties in December, had been told that his contract would not be renewed but following a discussion with new manager Martin Allen, it has been confirmed that Talbot will continue to represent Chesterfield.
Allen said: “I sat down and had a good chat with Drew Talbot and we’ve agreed a one-year deal.
“He has a good attitude and will be a good member of our squad as he can play in a number of positions.”
