VASSELL LINKS UP WITH OLD BOSS NEIL AT VALE

PORT Vale manager Neil Aspin has returned to former club Gateshead to snap up defender Theo Vassell.
It’s a return to the Potteries for Stoke-born Vassell, who has joined the League Two outfit on a one-year contract.
The 21-year-old began his career at Stoke City’s academy before signing for Oldham Athletic.
He then had spells at Walsall and Chester before joining the Heed last summer.
Vassell played 34 National League games for Gateshead last term, scoring twice.
