YOUNG Matlock Town prospect Zak Brunt has secured a high-profile move to Championship side Sheffield United – and hailed the Gladiators for their part in his rise.
The 16-year-old winger joined the Evo- Stik Premier side last year and quickly broke into the first-team picture.
Brunt’s performances for the Gladiators soon caught the eye of several professional clubs and he has now followed in the footsteps of fellow academy prospect Max Hunt (Derby County) by securing a move to a Championship club, in his case the Blades.
