LEWISHAM BOROUGH will play on after thanking the football family for rallying around them after they’d announced their decision to resign from the Southern Counties East League.
On Wednesday the club revealed they had pulled out of the Step 6 division after failing to raise the funds needed to get through the season.
It came on the back of the resignation of Gravesham Borough from the same league earlier this month.
But the day after Lewisham’s news broke, they withdrew the resignation with chairman Ray Simpson blown over by the support they received.
