A BUMPER Friday night crowd at the Webbswood Stadium saw newly promoted Supermarine turn on the style in the first half but run out of steam after the break against their EFL neighbours Swindon Town.
New signings Conor McDonagh and Stuart Fleetwood both went close as the hosts made an impressive start, but Town were given the ideal opportunity to break the deadlock in the 21st minute. Marc Antoine Fortune’s run into the box was halted by a foul, only for Scott Twine to shank the resultant penalty high over the bar.
