GRANTHAM and Bamber Bridge had to settle for a nervy draw to open the season.
Grantham chased an early long ball, but skipper Matt Lawlor made a late clearance to deny him.
Bamber Bridge should have taken the lead on 35 minutes, but Danny Forbes skied the ball over from six yards out.
Louis Jones got down well to save a ball in from the left as Bamber Bridge pressed but the half-ended goal less Bamber Bridge started the second half strongly with Ryan White firing into the goal just after half time, but the Gingerbreads equalised on 57 minutes.
