STAINES left it late but two goals in the last four minutes earned them a first win of the campaign against Chesham.
Perhaps it was predictable that these sides, who had failed to find the net in either of their opening two games, should play out a scoreless and largely uneventful first half.
The game sprang to life after the interval, with Staines first to break their goal-scoring duck in the 56th minute. A Thomas Gogo shot from the left was spilled by Alex Tokarczyk, and Ruudi Clarke followed up to poach from close range.
