MARSKE United began life in the EvoStik League with a comfortable win over tenman Sheffield at Mount Pleasant.
Craig Gott opened the scoring on 28 minutes, curling home a wonderful free kick from 20 yards.
The lead was doubled on 55 minutes when another Gott free-kick was headed home by Jamie Owens.
Two minutes later, Sheffield were reduced to ten men when captain Andrew Gascoigne was sent off by referee Alex Clark for foul and abusive language.
