GUERNSEY matched promotion- chasing Ashton for the majority of this contest but a poor ten minutes left them still searching for their first point of the season.
Home stopper Callum Stanton didn’t have a save to make in the first half, and the hosts could have led had they not spurned some promising openings - and that later came back to bite.
As the hour approached, Harry Ottaway stooped to nod home at the far post from a right-flank cross.
And four minutes later it was two, this time from the head of Lea Dawson as he met a whipped in-swing...
