VETERAN BENSON REDEEMS HIMSELF

PAUL Benson spectacularly made up for a penalty miss by inspiring Bedford Town to victory over Dereham Town.
They should have been in front on 18 minutes when Benson had his penalty wellsaved by goalkeeper Elliott Pride
But three minutes after the break, Bedford took the lead when Benson fired in a superb overhead kick.
Seven minutes later, Craig Daniel doubled the lead before- Brad Woods-Garness bagged.
Dereham gave themselves hope on 82 minutes when Daniel Beaumont scored from the spot but the Eagles’ Connor Furlong notched late on.
