CHARLIE Harris’s late free-kick stunned Colston Avenue as Horsham progressed.
Bostik Premier side Carshalton would have been favourites before kick-off but neither side created a meaningful chance during the opening exchanges. Horsham’s Chris Smith then had a great chance to open the scoring on 21 minutes, but he put a free header over from close range.
The closest the home side came before the break was through top scorer Ricky Korboa, but his 20-yard effort flew just over the crossbar.
