UNBEATEN YATE LEAVE IT LATE

LEAGUE leaders Yate Town needed a late Dave Sims-Burgess equaliser to preserve their unbeaten record as they drew 1-1 with Cinderford Town.
Cinderford were more than a match for their top of the league hosts and scored their goal one minute into the second half.
Lewis Bamford’s twisting run into the box was cut short illegally by Charlie Hitchings – leaving Dan McDonald to fire home from the resulting penalty kick.
Cinderford looked to be holding on for all three points and a place in the top five but they were denied 17 minutes from the end.
